Untitled - Dance To The Beat (Author Unknown)

Some people try to make us feel bad about being a woman, will try to convince us that we're incapable or inferior.

Never believe it. This is your life, and you can do anything you want to do.

You don't have to follow someone else's expectations of who you should be. Never let anyone convince you otherwise, and never set limits upon yourself because you're a woman.

You can admire the same qualities in yourself that you admire in anyone else. Remember that you're strong, intelligent, and capable. You're dedicated to any endeavor that you undertake, and you can do anything you decide you want to do.

You are a woman, and you have power! You can follow your dreams and dance to the beat of your own heart. You don't have to go through life dangling from someone else's cloud; instead you can fly to the stars and claim one for your own.

And you can do that right NOW!

Geezers and Geezettes (Author Unknown)

"Old Geezers and Geezettes" are easy to spot. At sporting events, during the playing of the National Anthem, they hold their caps or hands over their hearts and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them.

They remember World War I, the Depression, World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Bomb, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing, not to mention Vietnam.

If you bump into one on the sidewalk, they will apologize. On the street, they'll nod, or tip their cap, or say "hello."

They trust strangers and are courtly to everyone.

They hold the door for the next person and always when walking, they make sure the lady is on the inside for her protection.

They get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like the violence and filth on TV and in movies.

They have lots of moral courage.

They seldom brag unless it's about their grandchildren in Little League or at music recitals.

This country needs " Old Geezers and Geezettes" with their decent values and common sense.

We need them now more than ever. They know our great country is protected, not by politicians or police, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country in foreign lands, just as they did, without a thought except to do a good job, the best they can and to get back home to their loved ones.

Thank God for the "Old Geezers and Geezettes".

Julie Andrews Song (Author Unknown)

Maalox and nosedrops and needles for knittin',
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittin's,
Bundles of magazines tied up with string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cadillacs, cataracts, hearing aids, glasses,
Polident, Fixodent, false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
Then I remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Hot tea and crumpets, and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Back pains, confused brains, and no fear of sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin'.
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.

When the joints ache,
When the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel soooo baaaad!
